Goodbye Codehaus

Codehaus has operated at a loss for several years now (we’re not powered by venture capital), and can not compete with the army of developers and integrated product offerings that are now commonplace.

As it was mentioned on reddit:

If you’ve ever benefitted from Groovy, Jetty, Grails, Gradle, XDoclet, XStream, jMock, EasyMock, QDox, Drools, Esper, Mule, PicoContainer, Jackson, Janino, JBehave, Stomp (and hundreds others), this was thanks to the Codehaus community.

I certainly remember seeing that most of the Maven plugins I used had codehaus in their package names. It was a huge effort what these guys did and I, for one, am very thankful.
